What the hell is this?!?! Like, SERIOUSLY?!

I’m such a sucker for puppies (I call all dogs “puppies” regardless of size and age) that something like this really really upsets me and makes me sick.

What is a “puppy mill”? A puppy mill is a mass dog breeding facility who’s only motive is to make a profit off of selling puppies to unsuspecting people. Most often, these puppy mills take really crappy care of the dogs, often keeping multiple dogs in cages meant for a single, small sized dog. The animals are often underfed and abused, and some are only kept for breeding (and then euthanized after they can’t breed anymore) with no hope of ever being adopted.

If you or anyone you know are considering getting a puppy, please please PLEASE consider adopting rather than buying, and visit a local shelter rather than a pet store.

Buying a puppy from one of these puppy mills may “save” that puppy, but it also opens up a spot for another one to take it’s place. Don’t feed the cycle!
